Christmas

Mom, this one if for you! Your Christmas Cactus bloomed!!!!! My goal is to now have it bloom for the next two Christmases in hopes that I will not kill all your plants (so far, so good!)

So, I've decided that you will never get the "perfect" picture with little kids all looking, not picking noses, or making faces, but these little beauties were the cutest Nativity Scene I've ever seen! April and Blake were in charge of Christmas this year and brought the cutest outfits I've ever seen! P.S. Brimhalls- let's get together and make some! We went out to my Dad's manger and had our Nativity out with the Cows and the hay. Darby was the Angel and she climbed the hay to be at the top with a giant star and Chad climbed the shed and shined a bright light on her as Dad Brimhall read the Nativity story. It couldn't have been more perfect!

Yup! This is the best picture we have of all 4 in there Christmas PJ's! Oh they were so cute and just as I had imagined! Camden liked his Spaceship pajamas, the girls LOVED that they matched and I couldn't have done better with the Buzz PJ's and lazer for Ryker! (Thank you Marissa and Tara!)

Santa brought Camden a flying helicopter!!

He brought Kaja a P-I-N-K Scooter (or Skewtwr)

Ryker got Buzz Books!

And little Avie a doll...yes, she doesn't look so happy here, we aren't sure why she prefers this "look", but really she LOVES the doll (takes it everywhere) and really she is quite happy herself!

We had the most perfect Christmas EVER! The best part was the my wish came true! Chad was able to be home with us ALL weekend! The Dr he was working with covered all of his patients, so that he could see his kids open their gifts! It's so nice knowing that there really are GREAT people out there!

Mesa Temple Christmas Lights

We were able to go to the temple lights last night and the kids loved it! I've been going my entire life and it seems like they have something new every year. This year (for me) it was the lights that kinda look like icicles and have the running lights. We were able to watch "Luke 2" in the visitors center and we couldn't have ended the night better than watching the nativity scene.

Christmas Spactacular!

Kaja and I were invited by our neighbors to go to the Christmas Spactacular. We had so much fun, all of us girls! The show was really "SPACTACULAR" infact, so great that I would like to go again next year! Mike Chamberlin (an old time news reporter for Arizona) was the host and did a wonderful job. The dancers were amazing and they did a great job entertaining and the best part was the second half of the program started with the nativity scene and baby Jesus and then focused on Christ and that is how it ended. It was such a fun evening! Thanks Debbie!

Hicken Christmas Party

We had our "Hicken" Christmas party on Saturday and we had so much fun! We really missed our parents and had I thought...we would have had someone bring a laptop and skyped them, so they could have seen some of our fun, but I guess that will have to be what we do next year. We had my Moms traditional dinner of ham, twice baked potatoes, Aunt Delsas jello, rolls and cranberry drink. It was nice to be together, but I think the best part was watching these little cousins exchange gifts to one another! What fun!

Check out Spencers smile! He was SO excited to give his gift to Camden. I love that the kids get so excited to give their gifts

Ryker giving his gift to Sterling.

Ryker got a Buzz Light Year gun from Garrett and he couldn't have been more happy!!!! He has played with this non stop!

Blessed!

The other morning Chad sayes to me as he's leaving for work..."You are lucky!" I say, "Yes...I am so lucky!" I knew what he meant....he was talking about being able to be home with these lovelies! They are everything to us and I am so grateful to be a Mother and to be able to spend every second I can with these little guys. They are so full of energy and life and they are each others best friends! I am Lucky! Lucky to hear the funny lines they say to each other, Lucky to hear their laugh each day, Lucky to watch them grow and progress, Lucky to be able to play games with them, Lucky that all 4 of them enjoy the exact same things right now in their lives, Lucky that they ask to snuggle, Lucky that I often find them in my bed next to me in the morning, Lucky that they ask for my help with homework, Lucky that they ask me to read to them everyday! Lucky that Avie rests her head on my shoulder as I sing to her at night and that she asks for more (she is the only one that can stand my out of tune songs :) ) Lucky to watch my kids run and play, Lucky to watch their imagination run wild, Lucky to hear their voices and to see them grow and learn. Lucky to watch their little testimonies grow and to hear them say, Mom I love you! Oh boy am I ever Lucky!

Ward Christmas Party

We had a wonderful Ward Christmas Party, it was perfect! Santa even visited the children (pics to come on that later) We wrote letters to those in our ward that are away, such as: missions, serving in the navy and army. There was a nice little program and then dessert. We couldn't possibly ask to be a part of a better ward family!

Avie's Latest!

Avie LOVES to unload the Toilet Paper rolls...we now shut bathroom doors :)

Avie LOVES peanut butter...she always leaves the jam side!
Avie LOVES the green ring from her stack toy! When putting the toy away I always say, "Where's the green ring?" I don't ask anymore...it is alway on Avie"s wrist! Disclaimer-
Don't look at the outfit (I wish she was old enough and I could just say, "oh she dressed herself, however, yes...I did dress her and the outfit was cute until she played outside and needed socks and shoes :) )

Soccer Party!

Camden with Coach Dorsten. Camden had a great 1st season with soccer! It was really neat to watch how much he progressed from beginning to end. His team had a big party at Peter Piper Pizza (our very first experience with that) and he had a blast. The highlight of the night and the season (for Camden) was the TROPHY! What is it with little boys and trophies? Well, soon after this picture was taken Camden was off to play with the games and Chad, Avie and I were at the table talking to some other parents.....Avie grabbed that "TROPHY" and in a blink of an eye and one WHACK that TROPHY was in half! I couldn't help myself...I just laughed and laughed (I tend to do that a lot...laugh when not convenient) and Chad looked at me and said, "Caskie" you know..the up and down "CA-skuh-IE" I looked at him with a smile and shoved it into the diaper bag "real quick" and looked at Chad and said, "what?" Ha!!! That night while I tucked Camden into bed he said, "Oh..my trophy! Mom can you go get it?" I said, " How about I take care of it and put it to bed upstairs tonight?" So, thank heaven for the genius that invented super glue! PS- I'm too honest and did tell Camden Avie had broken it...but only after the super glue came to Avie's (my) rescue!

Kaja Mae turns 5!

Okay, so this is her cake...it took me 4 hrs! I think it was the highlight of her Birthday, so it was worth all of the time and effort. I can see all of the flaws, but all she saw was how fun it was that it was hers. I love this little girl! She is so much fun and full of life! She loves to help me and she is the best big sister to her sister. We are so blessed to have her in our life! Love you little Mae!

This was the gift from her Dad and I! How could we do a Rainbow Brite Cake without the doll! Now Amy and Ellie have a new friend for their "tea parties"!

Yes, she is working it! This is the Purse that her Mamaw and Papa gave her...it has gone everywhere with her! She is feeling quite "BIG".

This is the bathtub her siblings gave her to bathe all her little friends! The have to be clean and pretty for their party right?
Happy Birthday our sweet Kaja Mae!

Ellie

Meet the newest addition to our family, Ellie. Kaja got to go to build a bear with Grandma Kimmy and Granpa Keith for her 5th Birthday (which is coming) and according to Grandma...this little girl KNEW what she wanted. She wanted a bunny with a Christmas outfit and it plays the Jonas Brothers (of coarse...ha!) and her name to be Ellie. Kaja has carried her everywhere and has slept with her and this morning she ate breakfast with her. We love new friends! Thanks Grandma for giving Kaja a wonderful special day and for the memories!

The many faces of Ryker

Ryker loves to "dress-up" he has a vivid imagination and it is so fun to be apart of this boys life. He makes me smile everyday as he tells me who he is and what he is doing. Example: Mom, I am a worker boy, just like Papa or I am a dragon slayer and just killed 2 dragons. These pictures are just a few examples of his favorite dress-ups lately.
Ryker came into the kitchen the other day with his shirt pulled up and one of his favorite weapons (the sword) and told me he was star wars. I guess in a 3 yr olds mind those cape things they wear can just be a shirt pulled above your head :)

This is Zorro

Professional Soccer Player

And his all time favorite, the superman cape with a transformer mask!

Soccer

Camden is playing soccer right now and it has been a lot of fun to watch him. He has really enjoyed this sport and likes to get in there and kick the ball.

Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween..I think it's fun and magical. I love nothing more than my children dressing up and pretending, believing and make believing! We had so much fun at our ward trunk or treat and enjoyed spending time with good friends!

Camden aka: baseball player

Kaja and Amy aka: Dorthy or Dowthy (in Kaja speak)

I had to put a picture of Dowthy's shoes...Kaja had to earn these and she was so excited to wear them, so excited in fact that the next day for church she came running out in her Sunday dress and her Ruby Reds and said, "I'm ready for church!" with a great BIG smile! ahhhh gotta love it!

Ryker..aka: Buzz Light Year (love how excited he is!)

and sweet little Avie Rae aka: leopard kitty

Menina...aka: killer dog (I mean pumpkin) I couldn't pass this costume by, it was a total clearance item at Old Navy and I thought Mom and Dad would enjoy how well we are taking care of Menina!

This was our "Trunk" at the Trunk or treat

Fall Break

Add Image
We had the most perfect Fall Break! We went to the cabin in Pinedale and just hung out and spent time with family. I love this picture above...Grandma Kimmies backyard..what a view! We had so much fun and kept quite busy. We were able to hear the madrigals sing, pick Grandma Kimmies garden (yummy), hunt for treasures,
Go to Great Grandma Kathy's and pick little pumpkins for each kid!

Go to the Pumpkin Patch in Taylor and pick a "Family" pumpkin...weighing in at 41 lbs!

Go on famiy bike rides to the Ranch.

and Camden learned to start the motorcycle by himself!

We were so blessed to have Chad with us the entire time and Dad, this picture is for you....you can't really tell, but we had a LOAD coming home! So fun!
